Cotswold pre-wedding shoot …

I first met Ruth and Matt on their pre-wedding shoot in Cirencester and I just really liked them both so much straight away. Such a lovely relaxed easy going couple with an obvious love for each other.  They had decided on an Egypt Mill wedding, which honestly, I have to say, is just the most gorgeous venue and it suited this couple so well.  Thier pre-wedding shoot was easy and relaxed and produced some really gorgeous images , which you can see below:

Egypt Mill wedding , Nailsworth …

You simply won’t find a more perfect choice than the beautifully converted 16th Century Egypt Mill wedding venue for your perfect day.  With its riverside setting and private lawn the Mill does not fail to impress.  The celebration rooms are full of character with exposed beams and downstairs in the restaurant are two original water wheels, one of which is in working order. Ruth and her bridesmaids got ready in a beautiful and quirky room, whilst Matt and his groomsmen got ready down the hall (I even caught them doing some ironing! ).

The ceremony …

The ceremony room at the Egypt Mill is so very pretty with its exposed wooden beams, bunting and magical fairy lights , it really does create a warm and intimate atmosphere. Matt waited patiently for Ruth and she looked absolutely stunning on the arm of her father walking down the aisle.  Always an emotional moment for dads….and ‘husbands to be’ of course. The ceremony was short and sweet, and the Mr and Mrs Jones were declared husband and wife a short while later:)

The ‘Formal’ shots ….

I say ‘formal’ in inverted commas, as they are not very formal to be honest. I have a really relaxed way of shooting the group shots and an even more easygoing way of shooting the bride and groom portrait shots. I have a list with me on the day with regards to the formal shots, and in this case the gardens are so beautiful and not very far from the ceremony room that we managed to do the group shots with no fuss at all. The Egypt Mill wedding venue has a beautiful landscaped garden with lots of little interesting spots to explore and I spent about 20 minutes with Ruth and Matt capturing the below moments:)

Cake cutting and dancing …

My time with Ruth and Matt was not particularly long, and once we had done the bride and groom portrait shots, it was almost time for the cake to be cut and for the newlyweds to have their first dance:)

Are you perhaps having an Egypt Mill wedding and would like to inquire about my availability? Or perhaps getting married elsewhere in the Cotswolds? Please INQUIRE here:) I do look forward to hearing from you :)
