CRIPPS BARN AUTUMN WEDDING

I loved being a part of this gorgeous Cripps Barn Autumn wedding that I shot in October. Cripps Barn wedding venue is an 18th century Cotswold barn, set in the heart of the countryside near Bibury in the Cotswolds. With its flagstone floors, rustic beams and roaring open fireplace, this historic building has been transformed to provide a wedding barn for all seasons. I’ve shot several weddings at Cripps Barn, and each one is always thoroughly unique and special. Its such a breath-taking venue and has gorgeous grounds and incredible food !

Bridal prep took place at the lovely Cassina Cottages just outside Cirencester and the cottage was a buzz with bridesmaids, mums and flower girls. Bridal prep is always a great way to ease into the day and of course, you get to meet the bridesmaids and mothers which is always exciting.

I made my way over to Cripps Barn once Frances was ready and photographed the venue and the guests arriving. Always a lovely part of a wedding day, to photograph the groom waiting for his bride and the guests arriving at the venue. Lots of ‘ooohs’ and ‘aahs’ and hugs all round. Frances’ three flower girls made their way down the aisle (after been given instructions of where to go..so cute, check out the pic!) and Frances followed, looking absolutely stunning. There was a really hilarious moment at the beginning of the ceremony where the registrar called Stuart the wrong name! It was truly funny and i caught that shot of Frances having a really good laugh. A great moment to have captured. Once the ‘I do’s’ were said and the correct names announced, the happy couple were pronounced husband and wife. The day went on to be as magical and jovial as it started and Cripps Barn looked absolutely breath-taking for the reception sit down meal.

A Cripps Barn autumn wedding is just as magical as a summer or winter one, this venue is truly unique and just stunning any time of the year. As the leaves begin to turn golden and red, Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds becomes a picturesque setting for an autumn wedding. Nestled among rolling hills and quaint villages, this historic stone barn is the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance.
