LAPSTONE BARN LGBTQ WEDDING WITH SMOKE BOMBS!

An epic Lapstone Barn LGBTQ summer wedding for Nikki and Anne. Lapstone Barn is the most beautiful 18th century renovated barn just a hop and a skip away from the charming town of Chipping Campden. I love shooting at Lapstone Barn, and have been fortunate enough to shoot a few weddings there recently. I love seeing how the barn is decorated, and each and every time I go there, I find myself standing in the middle of the ceremony room in awe of how incredibly beautiful it always looks.

Nikki and Anne’s Lapstone Barn summer wedding was memorable to say the least and I must say, i found myself tearing up behind the camera as there were just so many beautiful and touching moments. Both Nikki and Anne got ready at the Barn, each in separate rooms. Anne’s suit was beautiful and made for her by King and Allen tailors (read more about that here) and Nikki’s dip dyed dress by ‘Lucy Can’t Dance‘ was breath-taking and so unique! Nikki’s dad walked her down the aisle whilst Anne waited patiently for her. It was a lovely ceremony, very emotional and beautiful. After the ceremony, I let the guests mingle for a while before i photographed the family group shots and then spent some time with Nikki and Anne doing their ‘couple time’ photos. We went for a leisurely walk, looked for good light (of which there is an abundance at Lapstone Barn) and I think they really enjoyed this time they had together. Often, the couple time photos is the first opportunity the couple has to be together, just the two of them, after the ceremony , and it’s always a special time. Later, we did the most epic ‘smoke bomb’ photos on Lapstone Barn’s lovely long driveway! Those are some of my most favourite photos I’ve taken. I just love the vibrant colours from the smoke.

The rest of the day was magical. The reception room looked absolutely beautiful! The decor and colours chosen were so vibrant and colourful. Speeches were emotional, as they should be, and after that the gorgeous cake was cut before their first dance. Nikki and Anne’s Lapstone Barn summer wedding was one I will never forget and this venue, in particular, seems to attract very special couples.
