BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY MOMENTS

BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY MOMENTS OF 2025

I haven’t written a “best wedding photography moments” blog in years . I think the last one was 2022. It’s never really been my thing. I love every wedding I get to photograph, and trying to pull out my favourites always feels a little impossible.

A lot of my favourite moments happen in the quieter parts of the day. Before things get going, or once everyone has relaxed a bit and stopped worrying about what they are meant to be doing. The little ‘in-between’ moments often resonate with me the most.

There were weddings this year where nothing went exactly to plan- speeches ran late, timings slipped, food was delayed, the weather did its own thing but somehow that’s when the day felt most alive. People laughed, cried, hugged, and danced anyway, and that’s what makes the photos feel so real.

Not every image is neat or perfectly framed. Some are mid-movement, a bit chaotic, or slightly imperfect. Weddings are full, messy, emotional days, and I want the photos to reflect how they actually ‘felt’.

These aren’t “the best” in any formal sense . They’re just a handful of moments from 2025 that made me pause whilst editing and reminded me why I love this job so much.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that 95% of the day is spent capturing your wedding ‘reportage style’? Reportage wedding photography, also known as documentary or photojournalistic wedding photography, focuses on capturing candid and spontaneous moments throughout the wedding day. This style emphasizes storytelling, aiming to narrate the events as they unfold naturally, without intervention or posing. These natural, candid and emotive images make up the bulk of your wedding gallery and I think most modern contemporary wedding photographers shoot in this manner.
