AN AUTUMN CRIPPS BARN WEDDING

An Autumn Cripps Barn wedding is one of the most beautiful ways to experience this Cotswolds wedding venue. With its rustic stone walls, warm interiors, seasonal colours and surrounding countryside, Cripps Barn feels especially magical during the autumn months.

This October wedding was full of beautiful Autumn light, rich colours and relaxed moments, from the preparations at Cassina Cottages through to a candlelit reception inside the barn. Every time I shoot a Cripps Barn wedding, i think ‘this is it’….this is the best Cripps wedding. That is how wonderful this venue is. This Autumn Cripps Barn wedding was no exception and I just loved spending the day with Mike and Lavinia and their family and friends. Lavinia got ready at the lovely Cassina Cottages just outside Cirencester, and Mike at the New Inn , which is practically next door to Cassina. The ceremony at Cripps Barn was as beautiful as always with that medieval warm feeling to the barn, the roaring fireplace , candle light and masses of flowers. Such a beautiful setting and a dream to photograph. Lavinia’s sister walked her down the aisle, and this was a very special moment to witness.

AUTUMN CRIPPS BARN WEDDING PORTRAITS

Having an Autumn Cripps Barn wedding means that the gorgeous red and yellow leaves are in abundance and makes for a beautiful backdrop. Couple time photos were super easy and we just went for a nice relaxed walk and snapped some great photos. I particularly love the one of Mike kissing Lavinia with the beautiful golden backlight behind them. This is my favourite light, low golden back light.

SPEECHES AND FIRST DANCE AT CRIPPS BARN

As the autumn light faded outside, the celebrations continued inside the warmth of Cripps Barn. We headed in for speeches, which were an absolute riot…such fun and the atmosphere was electric. First dance was really beautiful and then the party really got started! This bunch were great on the dance floor, and again, I drove up the drive thinking ‘this is is, this is the best Cripps wedding’..until the next one!
