A SPRING FROGMILL WEDDING
The Frogmill wedding venue is a mix of old Cotswold Charm and French chic! The decor is absolutely stunning and the grounds are equally beautiful. Situated on the edge of Shipton Oliffe and Andoversford, 7 miles from Cheltenham, the idyllic 17th-century Frogmill, complete with roaring fires and original beams, opened in July 2018 after an extensive refurbishment. This 28 bedroom hotel, with traditional Cotswold stone and extensive grounds, a river and a watermill is a picture perfect Cotswold wedding venue with a modern twist.
Tom and Jess’ Spring Frogmill wedding was just lovely, with the ceremony held in the huge Mill Room which is such a beautiful space. Tom and jess had a humanist ceremony which included the symbolic act of hand fasting, literally ‘tying the knot’. Tom and Jess ended their ceremony with another unique tradition called ‘jumping the broom’ which entails a couple jumping over a broom to demonstrate their union.
After the ceremony, I took Tom and Jess for a little walk around the grounds, where we looked for good light and a few pretty spots for the ‘couple time’ photos. Speeches were touching and funny and the gorgeous first dance ended off a perfect Spring Frogmill wedding. What a lovely day this was, and such a great venue.
