BAY TREE HOTEL WEDDING | An Autumn Wedding

The Bay Tree Hotel wedding venue in Burford, Oxfordshire is part of the very stylish group of Cotswold Inns and Hotels, a privately owned collection of nine beautiful hotels and inns dotted around the Cotswolds. I’ve shot weddings at several of their venues numerous times, and they are always an absolute pleasure to work at.

Hayley and Dan’s October Bay Tree Hotel wedding was a wonderful celebration in the heart of the Cotswolds. Set in the beautiful market town of Burford, the Bay Tree Hotel is full of character, with honey-coloured Cotswold stone, peaceful gardens and a light-filled conservatory that’s perfect for wedding ceremonies. Autumn is one of my favourite times to photograph here, as the gardens begin to change colour and the whole venue has such a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

My favourite moment of this Bay Tree Hotel wedding, was the walk down the aisle as Hayley’s dad was desperately fighting back the tears, whilst Dan had let go completely and the tears flowed. These are the moments that make weddings so incredible and I’m so privileged and honoured to be able to capture them.

“Could not recommend Tanli enough! Every single photo is beautiful, bright, and full of life. She also captured special “secret” moments like guests shedding a tear, or a friend helping me with my dress, all of the details that you don’t always notice on the day. So many people have commented to us how great she was at expertly managing our large group of guests for our formal photos.

And I feel she went above and beyond what is expected of a photographer, as after our wedding coordinators left , she took it upon herself to help gather people for the cake cutting, and then the first dance. Without her the evening would not have run as smoothly as it did and I’m so grateful. Thank you Tanli for being such a pleasure on the day and capturing everything so beautifully.
