Kingscote Barn Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

An outdoor wedding ceremony at Kingscote Barn is a beautiful way to make the most of the Cotswold countryside. Surrounded by open fields and farmland, the ceremony takes place outside before the celebrations continue at the barn.

Hannah and Dan chose to have their wedding ceremony outdoors, creating a relaxed and natural start to their day. From guests arriving and finding their seats to the ceremony itself, confetti and the celebrations afterwards, their wedding was full of those unscripted moments that make an outdoor ceremony so special.

A RELAXED OUTDOOR CEREMONY AT KINGSCOTE BARN

There is something wonderfully relaxed about getting married outside, and Kingscote Barn has a beautiful outdoor setting for it. The ceremony area looks out across the surrounding Cotswold countryside, giving the photographs plenty of space, light and a real sense of place. For Hannah and Dan, the weather couldn’t have been better. The sun was shining, the countryside was looking its best and their guests could enjoy the ceremony outside in the warmth of a summer afternoon.

An outdoor ceremony also gives the day a lovely sense of occasion without feeling too formal. With their guests gathered outside, they exchanged their vows surrounded by the countryside, with plenty of natural light and space around them. Rather than feeling formal or staged, the ceremony felt relaxed and personal, with their friends and family very much part of the moment. Guests hugging, laughing, chatting and enjoying the excitement of the newly married couple all become part of the story.

EASY COUPLE PORTRAITS AT KINGSCOTE BARN

I like to keep this part of the day relaxed and I have an easy documentary approach to your photos, whilst still providing you with gorgeous portraits you will want to frame :) I give you a little direction when you need it and let you interact naturally. Walking, talking, laughing and simply being together gives me the opportunity to capture photographs that feel like you.

For Hannah and Dan, we had originally planned to use the wheat fields along the drive at Kingscote. By the time we went out for portraits, the fields had actually been cut that very day! Fortunately, the light was beautiful and the newly cut fields and round bales gave us a completely different setting. The warm evening light ended up creating some of my favourite photographs from their day. I do love shooting at golden hour and Kingscote Barn really does have the most beautiful sunsets. Becky and Craig’s gorgeous golden hour wedding portraits at Kingscote Barn, took my breath away, a few months later.
