A Summer wedding at the Kingscote Barn Wedding venue in Tetbury …

The Kingscote Barn wedding venue in Tetbury, has to be one of my favourite Cotswold wedding venues. The venue is gorgeous and offers everything that a bride could want with a lovely ‘getting ready’ space, stunning ceremony area (indoors or out) and lovely lawns with breathtaking views of the countryside below. Oh and it has sheep…lots of sheep that are too sweet for words!  Emma and Andrew’s relaxed family summer wedding at Kingscote Barn was everything I thought it would be and more. My wedding package does include a pre-wedding shoot so I always get to spend some quality time with my couples before their wedding day and I find that it really helps me to get natural and authentic interactions on the day too.

Bridal prep at Kingscote Barn …

Kingscote Barn offers gorgeous cottages and beautiful spaces for brides to get ready in a relaxed environment. Bridal prep was a buzz on this occasion with Emma’s family being present including her gorgeous kids who really got involved in the preparations. Emma and Andrew both very much wanted their children to be as involved  in the day as possible and this was really nice to see. I popped over to see Andrew and took a few snaps of him getting ready too…though he looked ‘cool as a cucumber’ and very ready for the day ahead:)

TIME TO GET MARRIED …

The Kingscote Barn wedding venue has a stunning ceremony room and it’s an absolute joy to photograph weddings in this beautiful space.  Couples are free to decorate as they like and it’s always a lovely surprise to see how they have chosen to dress the room.  The ceremony room looked absolutely gorgeous with beautiful wild flowers from Jacaranda flowers of Nailsworth and framed  lyrics meaningful to the couple placed strategically around the room. The coloured lanterns looked really joyful and pretty too :) The room filled up quickly with guests and it’s always a nice moment for  a photographer watching the groom and guests waiting for the bride. I captured a really cute moment of Emma’s little boy entering the room and then making an about turn back to  mummy! It was too cute. Emma did walk gracefully down the aisle on her father’s arm and her and Andrew were happily married a short while later :)

Kingscote Barn wedding venue has the most lovely outdoor space with amazing countryside views that guests can enjoy while having a few drinks. After the ceremony we did a few family photos and then I spent a little while with Andrew and Emma taking their bride and groom portrait photos. Kingscote offers really lovely options for photography and it’s a delight to shoot at this venue.

WILDFLOWERS AND LANTERNS…

The reception room looked absolutely glorious and and the smell of wildflowers in August is intoxicating. It was a really gorgeous set up and guests were treated to the amazing service and food provided by Mcbaile Catering.  Speeches were emotional , funny and heartwarming and Emma and Andrew’s little girl stood up on  chair and did a speech of her own which was really sweet to witness.

The Outdoor space at Kingscote is really unique with it’s expansive views of the countryside below and its a great place for guests to relax with a ‘games paddock‘ for the young and  the ‘not so young’  too:)

FIRST DANCE MOVES …

The First Dance is always a highlight of every wedding and Kingscote Barn has a gorgeous intimate dance floor with a great spot for the band to set up, and in this case we were treated to the awesome music and vibes from the The Cover ups .

So, another absolutely fabulous Kingscote Barn wedding for me and I hope to be back soon to capture more moments and more gorgeous weddings :)  and to see the sheep of course …..:)
