As  a recommended Oxleaze Barn wedding photographer, it’s always a huge pleasure to shoot weddings at this unique and charming rustic barn . Oxleaze Barn is situated in the Cotswolds, between the beautiful villages of Filkins and Southrop, very near to market town of Lechlade. The Barn is located on an organic family farm, and is a rural venue offering you outstanding rustic charm, and character in abundance.  Weddings  are held in the Barn, which is a beautifully renovated grain store dating back to 1702, and is run in harmony with the organic family farm.  This exclusive venue comprises The Barn and The Milling Barn which open onto stunning landscaped courtyard gardens with a fire pit and a wide garden gate available for late night street food vans for evening guests.

Becky and Alex’s Oxleaze Barn wedding day was just picture perfect from beginning to end. Becky got ready in a lovely home in the nearby town of Fairford just a few miles down the road from Oxleaze Barn. I spent a bit of time in the morning with Becky whilst she got ready and then I headed over to Oxleaze to see Alex and await the arrival of his bride.  Becky arrived in style in a beautiful vintage car and made her fairly long walk to Alex, who was waiting at the top of the aisle. The ceremony room at Oxleaze Barn is beautiful and is full of light and a real pleasure to photograph in. Once the couple said their ‘i do’s’ they headed back down the aisle and i left them to mingle for a bit before we started on the group photographs. Oxleaze Barn has a really lovely outdoor space where we were able to get some great photographs. After that it was a bit of ‘couple time’ and again, Oxleaze offers a lovely variety of shooting locations, such as gravel pathways, old rustic wooden barn doors, long driveways, fields and gardens…everything an Oxleaze Barn wedding photographer could want.

The celebrations continued with the reception meal followed by outdoor games in the sunshine on the lawn. Speeches were highly entertaining with Alex’s brother donning his barrister’s wig and putting Alex on the ‘stand’….this was really fun to watch and certainly  anew ‘speech expreinece’ for me. Cutting of the cake was announced by the ‘banging of the large gong’ which Alex’s brother did with great gusto.  A cèilidh band got the dancing started which was also amazing to watch and thoroughly a lot of fun.

All in all, another really great Oxeaze Barn wedding and I cannot wait to be back at this venue in 2019. If you are looking for an Oxleaze Barn wedding photographer, I’d so love to be a part of your day with you.
