SPRING OLD GORE WEDDING | Relaxed Cotswolds Wedding Photography

This was my first Spring Old Gore wedding by Yard Space and what an incredibly unique Cotswold wedding venue it is. Old Gore is situated just outside of Cirencester, about 20 minutes drive from my house. What struck me first about Old Gore, besides its beauty, is the fantastic use of space. There is the most gorgeous outside area which is undercover, and perfect for British weddings where the weather can be so unpredictable. I wish more Cotswold wedding venues had a usable undercover outdoor space such as Old Gore Barn. Old Gore is one of the Cotswolds’ most distinctive wedding venues, combining beautifully restored barns, stylish interiors and far-reaching countryside views. It’s a venue that feels relaxed and contemporary while still retaining plenty of rural character, making it a wonderful setting for couples planning an informal celebration surrounded by family and friends.

Erin got ready at the Stump Pub, which is a 5 minute drive from Old Gore. Bridal prep was loads of fun, and made a little more special, as this wedding took place on the same day as Kings Charles’ coronation. The weather was pretty wet and stayed that way for most of the day, with just little pockets of where it cleared briefly.

EXCLUSIVE OLD GORE RATE FOR 2027 WEDDINGS…

I would love to photograph MORE weddings at Old Gore – the light, the atmosphere and the relaxed feel of the venue suit my style perfectly. A limited number of weddings at Old Gore are NOW being offered at a special rate for the 2027 season in order to expand my portfolio at this gorgeous venue.

OLD GORE WEDDING CEREMONY

Erin and Will got married in the newly renovated barn, exchanging vows in front of the wood burning fireplace. Old Gore Barn is a ‘street food wedding venue’ making it very unique, and once the ceremony was done, the guests made their way to the reception room which overlooks the incredible indoor / outdoor space which is a very creative idea and just perfect for handling the British weather.

This Spring Old Gore wedding by Yard Space was full of genuine moments from beginning to end. The day unfolded naturally, with an indoor ceremony, relaxed drinks in the courtyard, heartfelt speeches and an evening packed with dancing. Rather than directing the day, my approach was simply to document everything as it happened, allowing the story of the wedding to unfold authentically.

“Tanli was amazing and a breeze to work with – we loved our pictures! She made us feel totally at ease. 100% recommend!

RELAXED COUPLE PORTRAIT PHOTOS AT OLD GORE

Amazingly, the weather cleared for a little while, giving me the chance to take Erin and Will away for some relaxed couple portraits at Old Gore. These are always some of my favourite moments to photograph — a chance for couples to step away from the excitement of the day, spend a few quiet minutes together and simply enjoy being newly married.

My approach to Old Gore wedding photography is all about creating natural, honest images that reflect who you are as a couple. I don’t believe in awkward posing or making you feel like you’re performing for the camera. Instead, I guide you when needed and let the moments unfold naturally, capturing the laughter, connection and little interactions that make your relationship unique.

The result is a collection of relaxed and flattering couple portraits that feel like you. Images that not only show the beauty of the day, but also bring back the memories of how much fun you had together while creating them. I have a wonderful post titled ’13 great questions to ask your wedding photographer’ which gives some insight into how i actually photograph a wedding.
