OLD GORE BARN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
The Old Gore Barn wedding venue, situated just outside Cirencester, is one of my most favourite Cotswold wedding venues. I absolutely love the thoughtful layout of this lovely barn. The wedding day flows beautifully from the ceremony area through to the dining room and outside to the incredible undercover area where guests can watch the food being cooked on the huge fire pit. It truly is a unique Cotswold wedding venue with it’s laid back atmosphere and street food party vibe.
EXCLUSIVE OLD GORE RATE FOR 2027 WEDDINGS…
I would love to photograph MORE weddings at Old Gore – the light, the atmosphere and the relaxed feel of the venue suit my style perfectly. A limited number of weddings at Old Gore are NOW being offered at a special rate for the 2027 season in order to expand my portfolio at this gorgeous venue.

I absolutely loved being part of Clare and Alex’s wedding day. This was only my second wedding at Old Gore, and it just left me wanting more (hence the little offer above!). My first was Erin and Will’s Old Gore wedding which happened on Kings Charles’ coronation day!
Their ceremony was the perfect mix of heartfelt and fun, ending with the most incredible confetti moment. I’m a big fan of the giant colourful rose petals – they always create such a joyful explosion of colour and make for some truly epic photos. After confetti, guests spilled out into the courtyard for drinks, canapés and plenty of catching up. This is one of my favourite parts of any wedding day. The ceremony nerves have melted away, everyone can finally relax, and the celebrations really begin. Unless you’ve got a speech coming up, of course… then those nerves tend to stick around a little longer!
Once we’d gathered family members for group photos, I stole Clare and Alex away for a short wander around the grounds. My approach to couple portraits is always simple: keep things relaxed, keep the conversation flowing, and help couples forget there’s a camera pointed at them. No awkward posing, no forced moments. Just the two of them enjoying a few minutes together. I absolutely love the photographs we created during that time. Before long, it was time for speeches, and I have to take a moment to talk about the food.
The food at Old Gore is ridiculously good.
Across all of the Cripps venues, amazing food is clearly a huge priority, but Old Gore is my personal favourite. As a South African, I grew up eating fantastic cuts of meat cooked over open fires, and every time I eat at Old Gore it takes me straight back to those memories. It’s proper food, cooked brilliantly, and a world away from what most people think of as typical wedding food.
I hope you love my Old Gore barn wedding photos and I do hope you take me up on my 2027 offer for Old Gore couples. I so look forward to being back at this very special and memorable Cotswold Barn wedding venue.
WEDDING DAY TIPS
CAN YOU PLAN GOLDEN HOUR PHOTOS?
Naturally drawn to shooting backlit, I almost always position the light behind my subjects because I find it produces the most flattering results. Capturing moments during the golden hour elevates this lighting preference to a whole new level. So, let’s explore the allure of golden hour together! What defines it? And can you harness its magic?
